Vulture Disagreement

Vulture Disagreement

Artist’s Statement: D J Wilson, LRPS

Two vultures confront one another on open ground, wings lifted in a display that is as much theatre as threat.

In scavenger societies, hierarchy governs access, and posture becomes language.

The photograph captures a moment where stillness gives way to negotiation — survival shaped not only by hunger, but by rank, timing, and resolve.

This photo received a Silver Medal at the Photo Grafis International Photographic Salon and a Bronze Medal at the Basil International Photographic Salon.
