Artist’s Statement: D J Wilson, LRPS

An eagle and a vulture face one another over contested ground, neither advancing, neither yielding. In the wild, conflict is often measured in patience rather than movement. The photograph explores the moment before action — a balance of calculation, instinct, and the silent assessment of risk.
